How we are organised – Society’s map

PTPP (Polish Society for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy) contains of all its Members + full-time workers, meaning our secretariat. Although we take up partnerships and collaborate with external companies / entities in regard to IT, law and accounting, they are not a part of PTPP in the same sense as the secretariat is. To find out more about our history, you can visit the tab: History.

1. „Topographical model”

In PTPP Members are divided into sections: Child and Adolescents, Couple and Family and Adults. Most of PTPP Members work with adults, which has not distinguished itself as a separate section. The C&A and P&F Sections hold their own Boards. The arrows on the graphic below illustrate how one can belong to multiple Sections at the same time – work with adults and/or children and adolescents and/or couples and families.

Another way to group PTPP Members is a regional division – our Members belong to an entity within or closest to their place of residence.

Circles and Divisions hold their own Boards that report to the central PTPP Board. Contact for each of the regions can be found in the tab “Contacts” in the Main Menu.

Divisions:
1. Lesser Poland-Subcarpathia Division (Oddział Małopolsko-Podkarpacki)
2. Lower Silesia-Opole Division (Oddział Dolnośląsko-Opolski)
3. Pomerania Division (Oddział Pomorski)

Circles:
1. Kuyavia Circle (Koło Kujawskie)
2. Kuyavia-Pomerania Circle (Koło Kujawsko-Pomorskie)

5. Greater Poland-Lubusz Circle (Koło Wielkopolsko-Lubuskie)
6. Podlasie Circle (Koło Podlaskie)
7. West Pomerania Circle (Koło Zachodniopomorskie)

To contact secretariat please write en e-mail to: info@ptpp.pl

2. „Structural model”

The standard path goes from Candidate through Associate to Full Member.

Candidate Members – the first stage of PTPP membership; for people who graduated from university and have started a full 4-year course in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. They may already be quiteexperienced in working with patients or in different sectors of work, but they are just starting on their path in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Candidates don’t hold voting rights within PTPP, but canattend General Assembly and take part in training, courses, lectures as well as make use of PTPP’s resources (See: the list of PTPP Candidate Members).
